Small Group Basketry Tuition
Progressive Basketry - Small group in the Workshop
2024 dates all full, 2025 dates will be released in October 2024
Maximum of 3 students - come and learn the basket or technique of your choice. Welsh frame baskets a speciality!
Students choose either 2 or 3 day packages of tuition .
Beginners start right at the beginning with sorting and preparing materials and can run right through a progressive programme, Intermediate students choose and focus on a specific skill or basket you wish to learn.
Workshops start at 9.30 am and finish at approximately 4.30 pm. I will provide plenty of refreshments but please bring a packed lunch.
Material costs vary depending on what you make but will generally be in the region of £7.50 per day. If frames for your baskets are made by me in advance then costs will reflect this. Examples are below:
Stake and Strand baskets £7.50 per day (Leather straps at cost depending on size)
Large Garden Trug £10
Other frame baskets with preset hoops £7.50 per day
Cyntell or welsh shopper £30 total - to include additional frame set to take home
Llangwm Fisherwoman’s Pannier. £30 total to include leather strap

Payment in full must be received before your place is confirmed
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend a course please let us know as soon as possible.
If a cancellation is made 28 days or more before the course start date then a full refund will be given.
If a cancellation is made between 28 days and 14 days before the course start date and we are able to allocate your place to another student, then a 50% refund will be given. In the event that we are unable to allocate your place to another student, no refund will be given.
If a cancellation is made less than 14 days before the course start date then no refund will be given.
