This is a beautiful basket which is woven in many countries from long, flexible willow which is gently encouraged makes these gorgeous curves. The beauty is in the simplicity.
The intricate design resembles our very own Celtic Knots and indeed this is the name which was given to the basket when I was introduced to it. Other names are Tatska basket or Polish bread basket.
These are wonderful trays for bread or other foody goodies but also look marvellous hanging on the wall.
